Where do you work in the Library and what's your position?
I work in the Circulation section as a Circulation Technician (or Circ Tech for short)

How long have you worked at the Library?
I’m pretty new here, I started working at the Library in October 2023, so just barely over 3 months.

What do you like best about your job?
I love EVERYTHING about my job but if I had to choose it would be that I get to be surrounded by books all day, it’s hardly a job to me, more like my dream come true!

What is the proudest moment in your life?
We’re gunna go deep here, after some unfortunate medical issues in 2022 I had to relearn to do a lot of things, one being to walk. The absolute proudest I’ve been of myself was when I finally upgraded from a walker to a cane to finally walking on my own!

What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?
Just because huge strides of progress aren’t being made doesn’t mean minute changes aren’t happening. Don’t be hard on yourself if the goals you’re working towards take awhile to accomplish, focus on lifting yourself up with the small accomplishments and keep going. YOU WILL GET THERE IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT!

Three words to best describe you:
Approachable Adaptable and Dedicated

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
See, this is a hard one. I would love to know the answer to all of the mysteries of the world like how the Pyramids of Giza were made, or be there to witness the Stonehedge be erected. But I guess that I would, if I had to only choose one, choose to trek across America with Lewis and Clark and Sacajawea just for the adventure of it.

Favorite book quote?
You have a chance and a choice to be what you are. To build on all that came before, reach for what comes next. To fail, well, greatness rises from first failures. The Awakening by Nora Roberts

What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Hey, I’ll try anything once! I’ve had a lot of what some people would think are “crazy dishes” but the craziest was probably raw octopus… it was still moving and the tentacles stuck to my tongue!

What is your favorite thing to do in Temple?
I’m fairly new to the Temple area but so far my favorite thing has been walking the Pepper Creek Trail with my husband and pup.

You’re happiest when?
I’m happiest when my husband and I are home cooking for our friends, sitting by our fire pit. Good food and good people what more can you ask for?
